Current security vulnerabilities in PHP do not affect muni.cz or IS MU
Reports of security vulnerabilities in PHP have led a number of institutions in the Czech Republic and abroad to take precautionary measures to restrict website operations in recent hours. Neither Masaryk University’s main website, muni.cz, nor the MU Information System uses PHP, and the disclosed vulnerabilities therefore do not affect them.

Professors Marek Nekula and Germà Bel receive honorary doctorates
On 15 October, Masaryk University awarded the honorary title of doctor honoris causa to a prominent philologist for spreading Czech culture and scholarship around the world, and to a European expert specialising in public economics and infrastructure.
